Has created and is developing a well-known in Russia and abroad scientific and clinical school which has made a great contribution to the development of new methods of diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular diseases, solution of theoretical and practical problems of the organisation of medical care and training of medical personnel.

Research results are summarised in more than 1000 publications, monographs, textbooks and manuals, 34 patents for invention and 2 discoveries.

Mr. Shlyakhto’s students have defended 22 doctoral dissertations and 57 candidate theses.
