Volunteer movement

Official languages of the Congress - English and Russian

Simultaneous translation of all sessions will be provided at the congress.

The patronage of the Congress is carried out by the Council of Europe, TAFISA, under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Russian Olympic Committee, the Government of St. Petersburg.

Student volunteer movement

Students of the National State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Health named after P.F. Lesgaft, Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Herzen, St. Petersburg State University, do a lot of work in St. Petersburg, organizing Olympic lessons, sports events, demonstrations, and master classes.

One of the main activities of students of these universities is volunteering. A volunteer movement is a form of civic participation in socially beneficial affairs. Volunteering, along with a high moral value, plays a huge role in the development and improvement of professional qualities.

Since 2013, volunteers of these universities have been taking an active part in the International Congresses “Sport, People, Health”.

The IX International Congress was held on April 25-27, 2019.

The Organizing Committee of the Congress “Sport, People, Health” highly appreciates cooperation with the volunteer movements of the above universities and once again plans to interact in organizing and holding the jubilee X International Scientific Congress “Sport, People, Health”, to be held in St. Petersburg December 2021.

Experienced volunteers provide organizational and linguistic support, the volunteer movement consists of students, graduates, graduate students, young scientists, and university staff.

The university administration, the teaching staff are convinced that working as volunteers is a unique opportunity for university students to master in practice the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are given to young people in classrooms.
