A well-known Russian cardiologist, one of the country’s leading scientists in the field of arterial hypertension research, has made a notable contribution to the development of new methods of diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular diseases, solving theoretical and practical issues of organisation of major innovative projects and research work in clinical medicine.

The main direction of scientific activity – study of neurogenic mechanisms of blood pressure regulation in normal and pathologic states, pathogenesis of hypertension, metabolic cardiovascular syndrome, molecular and genetic mechanisms of cardiovascular system remodelling.
