The International Public Organisation “Sport, People and Health” is headquartered in Saint Petersburg, a city with rich sporting traditions, a strong academic tradition and international cultural significance. A central part of the organisation’s work is preparing and holding the International Scientific Congress “Sport, People and Health”. The Congress tradition began in 2003, when it first brought together representatives of sport, science, medicine and public institutions to discuss the development of modern sport, sports medicine, physical culture and health, as well as the social and legal aspects of sporting activity. The Congress provides a forum for professional exchange, covering the findings of academic and applied research, modern methods, international experience and practices that support physical activity, sport for all and professional sport.
