Dear friends!

On behalf of the staff of the Lesgaft National State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Health, St. Petersburg and on my own behalf, I am pleased to welcome the participants and guests of the XI International Congress “Sport, People and Health”.

The Congress serves as an important platform for the work of leading specialists in the field of physical culture and sports. In the Russian Federation years 2022-2031 are announced to be “The Decade of Science and Technology”. The Congress will discuss issues of strengthening the role of science and technology in solving the most important tasks of the development of society and the country, the sports industry. This largest forum has become an integral part of significant events in the scientific field of Russia and of the international community. The main scientific focus of the Congress will be the issues of international sports movement in the modern world.

In the current situation that has developed globally, it becomes important to find ways out of the crisis in the international Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic movements. The work of the Congress will be aimed at discussing the topics of promotion of the integration of the efforts of the international scientific community, public organizations and state bodies of different countries to comprehensively solve the problems of modern sports, preserve Olympic ideals and principles, moral values of world sports, tasks of physical and spiritual and moral development of society. Solutions will be developed by combining the efforts of international and national organizations in the systematization and dissemination of innovative projects and best practices aimed at the harmonious development of the individual in the systems of physical culture, sports, health and education.
